Electric Toyota Land Cruiser and EPU Pickup Ready to Enter JMS 2023

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The 2023 Japan Mobility Show (JMS) global automotive exhibition will be filled with various concept car debuts from a number of manufacturers.

One of them is Toyota which will present the Land Cruiser EV and electric pickup car, Toyota EPU.

Quoted from Carscoops, Sunday (21/10/2023), the first concept car to be displayed by Toyota is the Land Cruiser SE.

This three-row electric crossover comes with a modern and futuristic appearance. The fascia is dominated by a fully closed grille, flanked by thin headlights complete with a small ‘Toyota’ lettering in the center.

Meanwhile, at the back it looks quite prominent with a black and body color combination bumper, providing attractive visuals. There is a spoiler on the roof with sloping glass, combined with a slim, elongated stop lamp.

Toyota has not revealed the complete specifications of this concept, but the company hints that the Land Cruiser SE will focus on driving performance with high torque.

The next concept car is the Toyota EPU electric pickup. This electric truck concept has a length of 5,070 mm and a wheelbase of 3,350 mm. This dimension is 272 mm longer than a Ford truck.

This Toyota concept electric truck has monocoque construction. The appearance of the fascia is not much different from the Land Cruiser SE, the grille is completely closed with the headlight design made thin. The thick bumper at the front also makes this electric pickup look dashing.

The cabin looks minimalist with the head unit screen and MID floating model and the steering wheel uses a Yoke design like an airplane rudder.

As with the Land Cruiser SE, Toyota has not shared further information about this concept electric truck.

However, the giant Japanese automotive manufacturer said that this electric pickup will have a low center of gravity for better control stability and driving comfort.
