JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 was launched some time ago in Indonesia. Unfortunately, this car experienced problems and had to be recalled.

Quoted from Autoindustriya.com, Saturday (11/6/2022), Toyota announced that the Land Cruiser 300 marketed in the Philippines was experiencing problems.

The Land Cruiser 300 is experiencing problems with the Skid Control ECU from VSC. There is incorrect programming in the software.

VSC has the potential to not return to the default mode, namely On, when the driver starts the vehicle. This problem can occur if the driver deactivates VSC and the ignition is turned off, then turned on again when the brake pedal is pressed.

If VSC is not activated while driving, it can increase the risk of an accident. VSC itself works automatically to help the driver maintain control of the vehicle in difficult maneuvers. VSC is also considered to be able to prevent oversteer and understeer, and even reduce the risk of the car rolling over.

TMP will fix the problem on the Land Cruiser 300 by reprogramming the brake actuator on the ECU for free.

Meanwhile in Indonesia, Kompas.com has asked PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) whether the units marketed here are experiencing similar problems. However, there was no answer until this news was published.

“I’ll try checking first,” said Anton Jimmy Suwandy, Marketing Director of PT TAM, when contacted by Kompas.com, Friday (10/6/2022), via short message.
